Airports are Star Rated on the basis of multi-faceted front-line Product and Service quality characteristics.  A key feature of the Airport Star Ranking™ data, is the means by which Skytrax evaluate the reality of the "delivered" product and service to customers.



This means that a small regional airport which will have a different range of product and service options - compared to a major, international hub airport - can still be eligible for a high star ranking, providing it fulfils the conceived quality target.
